More than a decade’s experience in management, design, and implementation of a wide range of environmental engineering projects is key to being a high-quality expert in environmental engineering. This includes the development of water balances, integrated waste management plans, concept and detail design of MSW and mining waste facilities, mine rehabilitation planning, closure costing and construction monitoring of large capital projects (Exceeding US$ 20 million). Extensive involvement in all phases of project management, which varies from specialized one-off's to turnkey and EPCM projects adds additional value. This encompasses projects in various African countries, such as South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, and Botswana.
Johann is a Professional Engineering Technologist through the Engineering Council of South Africa and currently the President of the Geosynthetic Interest Group of South Africa.

Douglas is highly visual in conceptual optimisation with an investigative style of problem-solving. This permits an innovative and creative approach to a variety of civil and environmental engineering related projects. High attention to detail and an intangible structured way of working, brings vision and clarity to clients in the mining sector and specialized geomorphic designs during and post mining operations. This aptitude to optimise designs to save customer costs, as well as providing the client with a sustainable solution, sets a solid foundation for Douglas as director of a uniquely, out of the box thinking group of experts.
Douglas has more than a decade of experience in projects, specializing in geomorphic and landform design, selective material movement strategies, stockpile deposition strategies, slope stability analysis, stormwater management, rehabilitation planning, wetland rehabilitation and closure planning and costing.
